Black Rock Shooter: The Game is about a world that has been overrun with aliens. In 2051, nineteen years after the invasion, there is a mere 12 humans left. These humans somehow manage to wake up Black Rock Shooter, who was made to be a weapon. Following soon after, she must defeat the enemies and protect the humans left on the Earth from total destruction.

The game features a unique fighting system. As it usually is, when you touch an enemy you enter a battle, However, with BRS, you can choose where you shoot, dodge, use special attacks or use a skill to improve BRS’s stats. There is also an overheat system; shooting too much in a row or dodging too often will result in overheating; you cannot move until it cools down, leaving you vulnerable to enemies.

Those who are used to the usual fighting system may not like this. This is recommended for those who like a sad plot and a tragic future, and those who liked the anime may like this as well.

You must barrage through clusters of enemies if you want to survive and protect the humans that are remaining. But soon, you must compile the energy to take down big bosses, and suffer nearly unbearable losses.
